This is the first piece in a new series I’m calling Necromancers.  I’ll let you draw your own conclusions between the series’ name and the work. Prints and stretched canvases are available here.

I will say that this piece, and the ones currently in the works, have given me a sense of excitement, engagement and fulfillment that I haven’t felt in a while.  So, I’m pumped.

  1. i dig this a lot! i love that the grain shows through a bit. did you just use water color to let the grain show through the color a bit (i.e. on the red jacket) or is that a tinted stain or something?
